At FitoGramme, operated by FitoGramme SARL, we are committed to protecting your privacy and your sensitive health data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information in compliance with global standards and Tunisian Organic Law No. 2004-63.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide a personalized health and coaching experience:

  • Personal Information: Name, email, and profile details.
  • Health and Fitness Data: Weight, body measurements, body fat percentage, workout logs, and activity levels.
  • Nutrition Data: Meal logs and descriptions.
  • Sensitive Data (Photos): Progress photos (shared only with your designated coach) and meal photos for AI analysis.

2. Camera and Device Permissions

To provide our core features, the app requires specific permissions. We only access these when you interact with a specific feature:

  • android.permission.CAMERA: We use the camera to allow you to capture meal photos and progress photos for your coach.
  • Storage/Media Access: We may request access to your gallery if you choose to upload an existing photo of a meal or a progress update.

Disclosure: FitoGramme does not record video or take photos in the background. Camera access is only triggered by your manual action within the app.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Coaching: To allow your coach to monitor your progress and update your plans.
  • AI Engine: To analyze your meals and text (including Tunisian dialect) to estimate macros and calories.
  • Insights: To identify trends and prevent weight-loss plateaus using our AI-first analysis.
  • Communication: To send automated check-ins and motivational notifications.

4. Data Sharing and AI Processing

  • With Coaches: Your health data and progress photos are visible only to the specific coach you have authorized on the platform.
  • AI Data Processing: We use secured AI APIs to process nutrition logs and images. By using the app, you consent to the processing of your meal logs by our AI engine for health-tracking purposes.
  • Third Parties: We use secured cloud providers for data storage. We never sell your health or photo data to third-party advertisers.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by Tunisian law or the National Authority for Personal Data Protection (INPDP).

5. Data Security and Retention

We implement industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for all data in transit and at rest.

  • Photo Security: Your photos are stored in secured, private cloud buckets with restricted access.
  • Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active to provide historical progress tracking.

6. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have full control over your data, including the “Right to be Forgotten” as required by modern data standards:

  • Access & Export: You can view your data in-app or request a data export.
  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time via the App Settings. Upon deletion, all personal data, health records, and photos are permanently scrubbed from our active databases.

7. Children’s Privacy

FitoGramme is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
